Wellness Wednesday!
Happy #WellnessWednesday! ๐ฑโฃ
โฃ
Did you know that by paying close attention to what your children eat, you can improve their mood, memory, and attention span at home ๐๐๐ at school?โฃ
โฃ
There’s a clear relationship between food and your state of mind. When you combine eating the right foods that have a positive effect on your childโs well-being, you can plan meals that make them feel better which will help them behave better as well. โฃ
โฃ
So, hereโs what you need to know:โฃ
โฃ
๐น๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ซ – Too much sugar makes children hyperactive, frustrated and angry.โฃ
โฃ
๐น๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐๐ข๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ – The bright colors in foods have been linked to hyperactivity, ADHD, anxiety, and depression in children. Most of those bright colors come from petroleum.โฃ
โฃ
๐น๐๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฒ – A food that your child may be sensitive to is dairy. Many children have difficulties digesting dairy and this can cause mood swings and headaches.โฃ
โฃ
๐น๐๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฌ – Additives in ready meals such as nitrates and MSG might cause behavioural changes, including hyperactivity, aggression, anxiety and headaches.โฃ
โฃ
๐น๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌ – These are a poor replacement for sugar. Artificial sweeteners are chemicals that taste sweet but contain no calories. Ironically, they increase your appetite and can make you gain weight. They might cause tummy upsets, anxiety and hyperactivity.โฃ
โฃ
What you put in your childrenโs bellies is what fuels them and their bodies! Save this post to reference back to later! ๐โฃ
