Wounded & Abandoned
This is the best display I’ve seen regarding the father wound. I know this feeling all too well and remember many disappointing occasions like this with my father. I also remember saying to my father the very words Will Smith said to his uncle in this scene. Although my father and I relationship was restored years before he died, I still miss what could’ve been and feel the same pain to this day. My heart also breaks for the young men that still face this feeling daily and the fathers that have no idea of the damage they are doing to their sons and the generations of future men. Father’s, you do not have to be in your son’s house to be in his life. Man down and live up to who God created you to be. You can do it.
