Great Words and Perspective from our President and CEO
Our Children are stressed right now, and the typical “discipline dad” and “mad mom” reactions can be mentally detrimental for them during this unprecedented time.

Studies on children in a variety of settings show conclusively that parental neglect disrupts the ways in which children’s brains develop and process information, thereby increasing the risk for attentional, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral disorders. — Center on the Developing Child, Harvard University

So, I wanted to transparently share this throwback moment in hopes of encouraging parents who are experiencing a decline in their child’s behavior and/or academics during the COVID-19 pandemic.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pastor’s kids aren’t the only ones who feel neglected, but also children of CEO’s, Entrepreneurs, Teachers, Doctors, Lawyers, Professional Athletes, Activists, Mentors, Coaches, Actors, Musicians, etc. Two years ago, I too was guilty, and the Holy Spirit had been telling me that my son was feeling neglected—and this one morning it was confirmed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After a heart-to-heart conversation, I apologized and reassured my beloved boy that he is my blessing from the Most High and that I would drop it all for him and our family. This is why I’m not quick to jump on a plane for a speaking engagement. #SavingBoys worldwide would profit me nothing, if I lose my own son in the process. Although I am very content with being known for who I am in my home and not what I do in public, I still have to stay on guard against to the grinding lifestyle so that I do not neglect what matters the most.
