Dads Never Make Sense
Parents, when it comes to disciplining your teenâŚyou want to stay away from nagging and lecturing. đ
Most parents tend to communicate through repetition, which is needed before the teenage years. BUT, what was once an effort to help them through multiple reminders, now irritates them in a sentence. đŹ
We know it can be exasperating when children do things they know theyâre not supposed to do. Itâs tempting to lecture them. We want to share our wisdom! We hope our kids will have an âAha!â moment, see the error of their ways, and never make that mistake again. đ Maybe if we explain it long enough and thoroughly enough, our point will sink in! However lecturing just like nagging doesn’t work.
Let’s try asking good questions, so we can help them think through difficult situations, and they can move forward in positive ways.
