5 Tips To Help Your Teens Cope With Stress!

Now that school is back in session, all the academic responsibilities, sports, hobbies, and other commitments come along with it. Which can make for a very stressed out teenager. ๐
So! Here are some ways to help them cope:โฃ

1๏ธโฃ ๐๐๐๐๐! This is essential to their growth and development. Their changing bodies and evolving minds need at least 8-10 hours. ๐ค โฃ

๐จ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ข๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ฌ! In todayโs society, it is so easy to criticize or pick apart someoneโs weaknesses. We need to show our children what makes them special and encourage them in the areas that they can excel at. This can look vastly different from teen to teen. ๐ชโฃ

3๏ธโฃ ๐๐๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ฆ ๐๐จ ๐ฐ๐ก๐๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ฃ๐จ๐ฒ! We could all use some more happiness in life! Help your child find a sport, hobby, activity, etc. that they truly love. This gives teens a fun outlet for some โMe Time!โ as well as boosts their confidence! ๐ค๐ฎ ๐ โฃ

4๏ธโฃ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐ฉ๐ก๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ! Exercise is one of the BEST ways to relieve stress. Whether itโs a short walk around the block, or a long bike ride, the exercise releases chemicals in the brain that can brighten their mood. ๐โฃ
5๏ธโฃ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ฆ. This can seem challenging at times, but everything feels better once talked through. Learning how to communicate and manage stress is such a great life skill to achieve at a young age. Be a trusted parent or encourage them to find someone who they feel comfortable confiding in that will have their best interest at heart. It is vital that teens have someone more than just their peers to seek advice from!
