2️⃣. 𝘈 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 – In addition to daily conversations, set aside a longer time on weekends to stay in touch and connect on a deeper level. It could be a game night or dinner together!
3️⃣. 𝘋𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘶𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 – Ask them what they enjoy doing, and go do those things together!
4️⃣. 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 – Make sure your teen feels heard, no matter what the topic is, or how you feel about it initially. Once you’ve heard them, you can share your thoughts and feelings as well.
